Flora London Marathon Appeal
Thanks Neil!!!
With Neil’s hard work and the support from his friends, family and our generous members, the London Marathon was a fantastic event for Endometriosis UK!
Thanks to all our members who responded so generously to our Marathon Appeal. Margo and Stephen Valance raised the most money, so well done and thank you so much for your hardwork - the Champneys voucher is on its way to you now.
It was an invaluable chance for us to raise awareness of Endometriosis UK and generate much needed funds, which will go towards training our ever-increasing team of volunteers, who run the free helpline and regional groups, and working to raise awareness throughout the UK of the condition and the support offered by Endometriosis UK.
We would also like to thank Prospec Systems Limited for their very generous sponsorship of £250!
Neil Kelly, 33 from Basingstoke, ran on behalf of his wife, a sufferer of endometriosis. “Endometriosis UK provided vital support and information for my wife Kerry when she was diagnosed in 2002. It took 4 years for her to receive a correct diagnosis which I find truly shocking. I really want to raise awareness of the condition so that we can decrease the time it takes to diagnose. This would mean that women, like Kerry, will receive the correct treatment and support earlier.
I have always wanted to run the London Marathon and have been waiting for a chance to do so for Endometriosis UK. It is a great opportunity for me to show my support for a charity that has provided so much for my wife.”
So the hard work has been done and we have raised over £8,000! If you did not get the chance to sponsor Neil don’t worry, it is not too late!
You can still show your support by donating on the Just Giving website
Many thanks!
