Get involved with our campaigns

Endometriosis UK leads or takes part in campaigns that it believes can make a difference.  This includes petitioning the government for more support - as happened in Awareness Week 2006 where a petition with 13,000 signatures was handed into Downing Street - or our latest campaign to see improved recognition of endometriosis in the workplace.

Letters and e-mails to decision-makers can make a real difference in our work to support those living with endometriosis across the UK and in Europe. MPs have testified to the impact that letters and e-mails can have on shaping political decision-making.

For example, thanks to massive support from our campaigners, our European Declaration on Endometriosis in 2005 saw the highest ever number of MEPs signing a health declaration in the EU since records began. As a result, the EU included endometriosis in their Public Health Work Plan for the first time in 2006, taking our cause higher up the political agenda. We are delighted that funding has now been agreed for a pan European project.
