Local Groups

Local Groups enable those whose lives have been affected by endometriosis to meet up for mutual support and information. Meetings are usually held every one or two months, enabling women to discuss and share their experiences with others who understand not just the physical, but also the emotional, problems associated with this condition.

Content of group meetings can vary - from a presentation from a gynaecologist or GP to a talk about complementary therapies. Sometimes it will just be a chance for women to talk among themselves to seek support and information and of course to make new friends.

Our groups have an important role to play in offering not just personal support but also information - as well as helping to distribute leaflets, raise awareness and raise funds.
